Bee Pollen has long been considered nature's perfect food for humans.  It is richer in protein content than any animal protein and contains vitamins including B-complex.  Since the protein is in the form of free amino acids Bee Pollen is quickly absorbed/metabolized.

What it is?

Bee Pollen is the flower pollen that collects on the legs and bodies of the honey worker bees.   Bee Pollen may also include and bee saliva.

Where Does it Come From?

Honeybees collect pollen from the plants they frequent so the contents of bee pollen may vary significantly from one colony to the next, from one beekeeper's product to the next.   To illustrate the effort performed by the honeybee to collect pollen, it takes two and half billion granules to make up one teaspoon of Bee Pollen.   As the bee enters the hive Pollen some of the pollen falls off into a man-made pollen trap. the bee and is contained in a pollen trap.  The workers store the pollen in honeycomb, same comb as used for honey,  within the hives.   The pollen becomes their chief source of protein over the long winter months.   No harm is done to the honeybees in the extraction process.
