Our Honey Community Supported Apiculture (CSA) program is an initiative to connect the community directly to the source of local honey and other hive products produced by the honeybee, such as pollen, beeswax, and propolis.
We also acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our national beekeeping colleagues by broadening our program to include selective honeys from other parts of Canada which would be otherwise out of reach for the local consumer.
So, how does it work?
Similar to agricultural, baked goods, and meat CSA programs, the Honey CSA is membership based.
At the beginning of the year the member signs up for the annual program. There is no fixed date for sign-up. The member has the flexibility to sign up at any time of the year. The program runs until December 31st.
Each member submits a Honey Basket Request when they sign up to the program. You can select from any of the products available on the BEATTYHONEY.CA website. Mix and match - honeys, sauces, beeswax wraps, pollen, etc.
Deliveries are made on a monthly basis. Delivery charges are based on zones - ranging starting at FREE within a 30km range (Zone A), 50km $10.00 (Zone B), 75km $20.00 (Zone C).
Your Honey Basket can be spread over a number of months or taken all at once. One week in advance of the delivery the member receives an email with an option to add other products to their pending delivery. These products are paid using Interac eTransfer so that no transactions are necessary at delivery time.
Included in the membership share is a 10% discount off products listed on the BEATTYHONEY.CA website.
Member are informed as new products are stocked. Cool, one-of-a-kind "small batch" sauces and health creams are announced time to time in our newsletter.
Members have access to our list of affiliates - artisans of exceptional products created using our honey and other hive products.
On receipt of payment, we will email you an online Honey Basket Request Form to start the ball rolling...
It's that easy!
